TES celebrated after a month of external audits and assessments which have once again rubber-stamped the firm’s commitment to maintaining high quality, environmental and health and safety standards.
It was a busy time for the Cookstown-based business as it undertook extensive audits from NQA and CEF the respective awarding bodies for ISO 9001, 14001 and SafeTCert.
The ISO audits were undertaken over a 4 day period whereby the TES Environmental and Quality management systems were assessed. A rigorous examination of in-house procedures, documentation systems and an onsite assessment completed the audit.
Having initially received ISO 9001 and 14001 accreditations in 2006 and 2007 the company is audited annually to ensure quality and environmental systems are upheld. Joan Laverty, TES Quality and Environmental Manager commented, “The continued achievement of globally-accepted quality and environmental benchmarks demonstrates TES's ongoing commitment to internationally recognised standards. This certification exemplifies the constant quality and continuous improvement that we endeavour to implement across all our operations.”
NQA, the auditor for the process commented that the company showed a high level of competency and had professional record management and effective quality and environmental systems in place.
In line with internationally recognised ISOs, TES also successfully gained its SafeTCert accreditation for the fourth successive year. Under the system, companies are normally certified for 1 year however TES certification was renewed for a three year period which underlined the company’s commitment to managing a meticulous health and safety system. SafeTCert is a nationally recognised Health & Safety Management System which is rolled out throughout the organisation and covers safety procedures for manufacturing and on-site installation.
In accordance with SafeTCert and ISO accreditations, TES have implemented an extensive 3 year training plan to acquaint staff with all necessary procedures and guidelines. TES ensure that all employees are fully versed on the company’s environmental and quality systems, while extensive accredited H&S training is ongoing.
Commenting on the company’s recent awards, Joan Laverty added; “quality, environmental and health and safety issues are integral to delivering superior products and service to our clients. TES are also working towards a number of other internationally recognised accreditations which demonstrates our commitment to continually raising standards”.
